Using Realport and Splunk

0 votes
I have four ConnectPort LTS 32 MEI switches which use RealPort in a Linux environment. I can point the switches to a syslog server. Is there a specific log that RealPort uses that could be read by Splunk. What I am looking for is a way to monitor every virtual port on my Linux Server.

I am not familiar with Splunk or the requirements for monitoring serial ports. However, if you can monitor a built in serial port, it should be possible to monitor the RealPort serial ports.

Meanwhile, you might find the dpa.dgrp utility helpful for displaying serial details by simply typing dpa.dgrp from a root prompt on the Linux RealPort host.
