Which network interface does the Finder utility use?

If there are several network interfaces on your PC (ethernet card, firewire,...), how does the Finder utility decide which interface to use? And would it try multiple interfaces? I have looked over the Finder source code but haven't found any answers.

You'll not be able to find the source as it's buried in the ADDP library. However, it does search on all interfaces. I.E.it sends out a UDP Multicast discovery packet, and then listens for the response. Firewalls and Anti-virus ware will block the response though.
