Digi WR11 XT for poor cell signals

0 votes
We have a remote location where we need to send data a few times a day, exact time is not important. We have been using an Alcatel Hub and when the signal drops, the unit freezes up and needs to be manually rebooted which requires 200km of driving. Normally we get 2 bars all the time, but periodically it drops to one or none for an hour and this is when the Alcatel has a problem and seizes up. Would the Digi unit work in this case?

You can configure a Digi Transport cellular router to reboot automatically say every 6 hours and that should solve the issue if it did lockup.

Or in the configuration it can be set to restart the modem if registration is lost.

There are many ways to have the Transport restart on loss of data...
