Connect Xbee3 to Arduino?

+2 votes
Because the Xbee 3 series are so relatively new, it has been difficult to find supporting libraries for the new module. How would I go about programming the Xbee3 using my arduino? I have shields that were made for series 1/2, but I don't know if they are compatible much with Series 3.

I am currently wanting to use my Xbee 3 Pro to wirelessly control my robot. I'd like my controller to have the Xbee3 hooked up to an arduino nano which will send button and joystick data to the recieving arduino where it will run my motors and such.

@hackinspock, Please let us know if you found anything about this. I'm also facing problems to connect my xbee 3 in the simplest digimesh network possible.
