RE: Open Protocol radio

Well, Yes... 802.15.4 OR 802.11 would certainly qualify...

We just need to be able to make our own transceiver that would be compatible with this module i.e. Program a SDR to be able to talk to this radio.

We like this module for the embedded portion of our project, we just need to be able to use an existing SDR to talk to it at the base-station. ( hardware modifications are not an option at base-station)

Being able to refer to a published spec or protocol is what we want.... we are looking for a simple point to point solution ( no mesh )

Thanks

None of Digi's 900 MHz products are based or use an open source or Public RF standard. All of them use a proprietary standard.
