Command in System-General-Atuo-Run commands

0 votes
Hello:

This command is in the System-General-Autorun comands:
tcpperm ASY 0 0.0.0.0 4111 -l4111

is this necessary? I did not put it there so it must have been put there by the router.

Looking for some guidance here.

Cheers,
John

You have probably run the serial wizard.

This command means that you are allowing connections on port 4111 to connect to the serial port.

True, I did run the serial wizard....
But I deleted the command and the serial port still works in socket server mode.....that is, I can connect to 192.168.173.1:4111.

So what was the command actually doing if I can delete it and everything still works?

Cheers,
John
