Using gateway cli to communicate with xbee, what is transmit error (-89)?

I have a ConnectPort X4 IA out in the field that is failing to communicate with an xbee radio. The gateway's web ui says that the xbee's settings are unavailable. I ssh'ed into the gateway and tried a "display xbee address=<mac>" and got back "Transmit error (-89)".

What is that error, exactly? My search hasn't found any specific error codes. Knowing may not help, but can't hurt.

Sounds like the XBee is not being detected. Try rebooting the Gateway. If that does not work, remove the Xbee from the gateway and place it on an interface board and connect it to the PC. Then see if you can talk to the radio and that API mode is enabled.
