how to choose the protocol (UDP or TCP) for IP port forwarding with a Digi Transport WR21? Because I use an application that requires port 1200 UDP and TCP 1200-1203.

Do you have Standard or Enterprise software in it?

If you have standard or Enterprise then you can use the IP Port Forwarding: Configuration - Network > IP Routing/Forwarding > IP Port Forwarding/Static NAT Mappings

If you have Enterprise software you can use the advanced Firewall rules.

When you say "Standard or Enterprise software in it" you mean the software in the Transport WR21 or the software that i use?

The software in the TransPort router.  There are two types Basic/Standard and Enterprise.  You can find the difference here: http://www.digi.com/support/kbase/kbaseresultdetl?id=3412
