Digi Connect ME Password/User HELP ;)

0 votes
Using the Digi Connect discovery tool to connect to a 9210 I can see the device, change the IP from DHCP to static, set the baud etc, but when I hit next to save the configuration the following happens:

User/Password box pops up and I have tried the following:

Netsilicon/sysadmin
root/password
root/dbps
root/Netsilicon

The box just disappears and comes right back. I have tried two different 9210 and both do the same thing.

What is the default user and password? Thanks a bunch!!

What firmware this module is running? Is it Linux, Netos, plug&play firmware?

Linux should be root/root
Netos root/password
plug&play root/dbps

If the module gets IP from DHCP, try to ftp in to it's IP, then check username and password. If ftp server works but does not accept one of the above passwords, it meqans it is not set to defaults.

there are recovery methods to overcome the password questions (in case you lost the password) which afford some pins to be shortcut during boot time:

For plug and play firmware:
http://www.digi.com/support/kbase/kbaseresultdetl?id=804
http://ftp1.digi.com/support/images/connect/intkit/docs/Connect_Mfg-DiagsMode.pdf

For NET+OS firmware:

For Linux, if you managed to destroy the U-Boot in flash, and there is no JTAG the module is lost -> for garbage. You may also send it as RMA to Digi to get the flash chip replaced ($25 reprogramming fee).

Hello

You might also try user name: digi password: sysadm
(all lower case)
